January 15 - Amy and Lisa arrive!

      As most of you know, Amy lost her husband Chris to cancer last August.  They had spent a couple weeks in Hawaii last year, and Amy thought Hawaii would be a fitting resting place for his ashes.  Her best friend from High School fortunately had this week off, so she was able to come along too for the ceremony.
      We picked them up from the airport in the early afternoon and whisked them up to Iao Valley for a short hike.

 It's good to do a little walking after a long flight.  And the view wasn't too bad.

     We checked into our B&B, then went into Lahaina.  We stopped for drinks at the Pioneer Hotel, then had dinner by the ocean at the same restaurant Diana and I had visited our first night in Hawaii.
