Lazy in Lahaina

I found a room at the Lahaina Inn for my convalescence!  Don't know why they have a Swiss flag hanging from the balcony.  Maybe it was put there to appeal to Diana's heritage.

We were surprised there was a room available, although it's not like the crowds are too bad.

      Evening view from our balcony.

The largest banyan tree in America, for what that's worth.  It shades an acre of this park near the courthouse.  I spent plenty of time in bed, happy not to be rolling around on the air mattress in our tiny tent.  We did get out to look around.  Lahaina is a cute little town that used to be a pleasure spot for whalers;  Jack London set several of his short stories here.  Now it serves the same function for tourists, minus the whorehouses.  The old wooden buildings house art galleries, jewelry and fragrance shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
