Sunrise from our campsite. We dried out our tents, ate a little breakfast, and headed back to Hana.

The famed aviator died on Maui in 1974 and is buried in the churchyard cemetery.
Painted window in church.
The road back to Hana.
We rescued Lisa from Joe's, then walked the perilous short trail to the Red Beach, much favored by nudists. The only naked person was a fit old guy playing merman in the cove (no, it wasn't I, although I was tempted).
We had three wonderful days in Hana. Next time we'll stay longer - there is so much to do, or not do, if one wishes.
After driving back along the Hana Road to civilization, a three hour drive during which we took lots more photos I won't bore you with, we stopped in the cowboy town of Makawao looking for a late lunch/early dinner. We found a Hawaiian/Mexican cantina where the chickens kept the floor spotless, and had a nice meal.
Goat wasn't on the menu ...
... nor was goose, or whatever this thing is.
We checked into our Airbnb in Kula. It's called the Kula Treat Upcountry Maui, and it was a treat to be able to spread out our tents, do some laundry, take care of emails and blogs, and sip some beer and wine.
Great photos. Vacation looks like great vacation, I'm glad your group is fun. Lucky Lindy is dead! I am heartbroken! Is Amelia Earhart laying around anywhere? Enjoy
